    • Yuri Babinets - Yuri Babinets is a Ukrainian pastor, evangelist, and regional director for Great Commission Media Ministries based in Kyiv, Ukraine. For years, he has led large-scale outreach efforts across the country, helping distribute Bibles, share the Gospel, and equip local churches to reach their communities.

When Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, Yuri found himself facing a choice that countless Ukrainians would confront: flee to safety or remain and serve. Rather than leave, he chose to stay alongside the people and communities he had spent years ministering to, continuing his work amid uncertainty, danger, and the realities of war.

His remarkable story is featured in the award-winning documentary short film No Surrender.

    • About the Film - Runtime: 18 Minutes

As war arrives at his doorstep, Ukrainian pastor Yuri Babinets stands firm, leading with courage, conviction, and unshaken faith. Brought to life through powerful cinematic recreations and firsthand testimony, No Surrender tells the incredible true story of a man who refused to abandon his calling when his community needed him most.

More than a story about conflict, No Surrender is a story about faith under pressure, courage in the face of fear, and the enduring hope that can emerge even in humanity's darkest moments.

The film explores how one ordinary pastor became a source of strength for those around him, demonstrating that faith is not merely something we believe when life is easy, but something that sustains us when everything else is uncertain.

  • About Yuri's Ministry - Through his work with Great Commission Media Ministries, Yuri has helped lead evangelism and Bible distribution initiatives across Ukraine, partnering with churches and Christian leaders to share the Gospel throughout the region.

Since the outbreak of war, these efforts have become even more critical. As millions of Ukrainians have faced displacement, loss, and uncertainty, churches and ministry leaders have served on the front lines of both humanitarian and spiritual care.

Yuri's story offers a unique window into the role faith continues to play in Ukraine today and the resilience of believers who have chosen to serve others despite extraordinary circumstances.
